Thankful

Brianna Lee

February 21, 2012
6 lbs. 9 oz
18 3/4 in.

I'm feeling very thankful today to be able to squeeze my little princess.

She swallowed a bunch of amniotic fluid during birth and had to be put on oxygen right away.

It's not easy for a momma to see her baby like this!  Especially after very little sleep...it's hard to think rational thoughts.

This was my first time meeting her

Meeting her sisters

After a couple days she got moved to the "hood" because she was a little more stable
Then just a feeding tube

Down to the bili blanket

Now off all tubes, here is a pic of her today...yay!

Here are a few things I'm thankful for today:

Cuddling my baby close
Prayer's of friends and family
The softness of a newborn
The breath of life
Kindness of others
Grandma D.
my mom coming today (I won't even let her talk about what day she has to leave)

so so much to praise the Lord for...

Oh Tami, I totally get how thankful you are. Maddox had to be put on oxygen shortly after he was born as well....so hard not to hold them especially when you have gotten to the other times with your other children. I am so glad Brianna is doing well now.....she is adorable and I hope you can get some rest with 3 little ones around! Thank goodness for mothers and mother-in-laws!

Oh, Tami! I'm not on FB much so I hadn't even heard yet about her arrival! She is absolutely beautiful and I'm so thankful along with you that she is doing well :) Praise God for another blessing... another little Driggers to carry on a heritage of faith.

Loving seeing her home with her family! You want to hear my bad joke??? When the caption said she was in "the hood" I thought man I bet they were wishing she was in "the Boro"....I know that was really bad, but you know I am dumb like that! Really, we are so thankful that she is home and healthy! Enjoy your time with your Mom...hate when they have to go back home. Maybe you can mess with her car...just a thought :)
